The Stateline Chamber is proud to bring the 31st Annual Rockton Christmas Walk – Presented by Gary J. Bach Agency – to Rockton’s famously beautiful downtown district. Over the years this event has grown and become a family tradition for thousands. This year’s festivities will take place over the weekend of December 4th, 5th & 6th, with Saturday the 5th hosting our traditional festivities. With holiday events and shopping specials happening all week long, the Rockton Christmas Walk continues its tradition of being the official kickoff to the holiday season. A full list of all that’s happening over the weekend, visit rocktonchristmaswalk.com
Attendees are treated to all kinds of great holiday cheer, including the Candy Cane Craft Show on Saturday, 7:30am to 3pm, and a Pancake Breakfast just across the corner. The show features various local crafters and vendors selling holiday themed goodies, and the Breakfast is the perfect way to start the day with good food, and a visit with Santa Clause.
Village Green Park hosts the “Lighting of the Park” at 4pm where the public is treated to young ones singing Christmas Carols, and the lighting of Katie’s Tree just before they light up the entire park and sip on some Hot Chocolate. Plus, Santa Clause always finds time to visit.
Saturday night is one of the best times to visit, with the famous “Lighted Christmas Parade” at 6pm featuring over 40 lighted and themed floats, and thousands of on lookers with the Joy of Christmas written all over their glowing faces.
After the parade, the American Center is filled with generous locals helping support the Rockton Lions Club and the Wimpy’s Fund, as they participate in the Wimpy’s Fund Auction. The fund is used to purchase food, clothing, and presents for families in need over the holidays.
Want to participate? You can still submit your entry to the Parade. Just visit their website rocktonchristmaswalk.com and download the form.
The Christmas Walk is planned every year by the Rockton Chamber of Commerce. Recently the Rockton Chamber merged with the Roscoe Chamber, and has renamed the new consolidated organization to the Stateline Chamber. This move was a long time in the works, as leaders from both organizations have worked on a merge since as far back as 15 years ago. The new Stateline Chamber is committed to promoting the unique qualities of each village, while remaining dedicated to regional business growth and quality of life.
The staff and friends of SMTD did a wonderful job decorating our bus recently in the d Annual Rockton Christmas Walk Lighted Parade!
