The support of our local community & businesses is what makes Christmas Walk Great. People like Mayor Dale Adams (Rockton Village), Jamie Christiansen (Gary J. Bach Agency), and Brent Murray (Dairyhaus), show their support for the community through their involvement with Christmas Walk. Join us in helping make every Christmas Walk the best its ever been.

Pub Crawl

The easiest pub crawl you'll ever participate in. Six establishments all within two blocks of each other No cost to participate except wearing your MOST FLAMBOYANT, UGLIEST JAW-DROPPING (get the hint?) holiday garb.

LIGHTING OF THE PARK

With all the spirit of a small community we join in song & cheer to light up Katie's Tree & Village Green Park. We close out the evening with a visit from Santa.

LIGHTED PARADE

The famous Lighting Christmas Parade always delights with some great Christmas Themed floats coasting down Main St. All the villages lights up to the beauty of the parade while we ring in Christmas.

  • Pub Crawl

    Friday Dec. 1st

    Rockton, 7pm 

    The easiest pub crawl you’ll ever participate in. Six establishments all within two blocks of each other – Rockton Inn Pub Grub & BBQ, Rookie’s Pub and Grill, Pokie’s Slots -N- Video Poker, Ye Olde Pub, American Legion and Fibs. No cost to participate except wearing your MOST FLAMBOYANT, UGLIEST, JAW-DROPPING (get the hint?) holiday garb. Grab your stamp card at the first place you start, get your card stamped, and once stamped by all six, fill it out with your contact info and leave it at the bar. We’ll call you if you’re a winner!

  • Lighting of the Park

    Saturday Dec. 2nd

    Village Green Park, 5pm

    With all the spirit of a small community we join in song & cheer to light up Katie’s Tree & Village Green Park. Grade school and high school choirs will sing holiday songs while visitors enjoy s’mores around a toasty campfire. We close out the evening with a visit from Santa.

  • Rockton Lions Pancake Breakfast

    $5 Adults, $3 Children12 years and under – All you can eat pancake, sausage & juice hosted by the Rockton Lions. Visit with Santa from 9 – 11 am.

    American Center (Legion), 221 W. Main St. 7-11am

  • RRVBC Blood Drive

    Help save lives by donating at this Blood Drive hosted by Rockton Lions.

    American Center 8-11:30am

  • Talcott Book Sale

    Book Sale – Lots of books, A-V materials, misc. items for purchase. Sponsored by Friends of the Talcott Library. Proceeds used to support Children’s Programming.

    Talcott Free Library 9-3pm

  • Fair Trade, Book and Christmas Sale.

    Christmas sale featuring fair trade foods, household, personal items and Christmas items. Christmas baked goods will also be for sale.

    Unitarian Universalist Church of Rock Valley, 329 School St. 9-4pm

  • Letters to Santa

    Write letters to Santa, make reindeer food, meet Buddy the Elf, a couple of famous princesses, and other Christmas friends.

  • Pictures with Santa

    Photos with Santa. (Free!)

    Treats available for purchase that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

  • Horse Drawn Carriage Rides

    The tradition continues. Horse drawn carriages will be at the Christmas walk in the afternoon. You can board your free ride between the library and Dairyhaus.

  • Chili Luncheon & Supper

    $5 All you can eat Chili, Hot Dogs, Chili Dogs, Corn Bread.

    Rockton United Methodist Church, 102 W. Chapel St. 12-7pm

  • Hot Chocolate Stir Spoon Making

    The Mix – Rockton will host a hot chocolate stir spoon-making activity for children to take home. This activity is FREE for participants!

  • S'more Roasting Station

    Come roast s’mores with Sugar Britches while listening to carolers.

    Village Green Park 3-5pm

  • Caroling at Village Green Park

    Carols featuring choirs from Rockton Grade School and Hononegah High School. FREE.

    The 15th and Chris Food Truck will be around to serve up some delicious food.

  • Lighted Christmas Parade

    NEW this year. Route will remain on Main St. but start from the west and head east (reverse of typical years).

    Downtown Rockton 6pm

  • Luminary Lane

    Dedicate a luminary to a friend, loved one or even just send a special message to someone. Luminaries will line the triangular walkway by the gazebo at Settlers Park. Luminaries will only be pre-sold and are $5 each. Available for purchase at Village Hall, Sugar Britches and Sanctuary Spa.

  • Downtown Rockton Streetscape Master Plan Open House

    Come take a look at the future plans for streetscape improvements to downtown Rockton and provide comments while enjoying light refreshments.

    Village Hall 4-7pm

  • Rockton Lions Wimpy's Fund Auction

    Join the Rockton Lions Club at the American Legion for food, silent and live auctions! All proceeds go to purchasing Christmas dinners and presents for area families in need.

    American Center (Legion), 221 W. Main St. Begins 30 minutes after the parade.

  • Talcott Book Sale

  • Chocolate for the Talcott Soul
